Welcome To The Wedding Blog!

Hi family and friends! This is the place to get all the latest information on our upcoming union.

We'll be adding more items in the coming days... Information on The Rafael (where it is, how to get there, parking, etc.), things to do in the Bay Area, where to stay, events going on during the week of our wedding (hint: Giants vs. Dodgers!), where we're registered... and various other tidbits of information that may or (more likely) may not be of use... but we hope, in any case, that you're entertained, so drop by often and see what's new...

With our team of top-notch correspondents, located in the world's hotspots (Neverland Ranch and Wasilla Alaska), we'll also be offering wall-to-wall Michael Jackson coverage (except when Sarah Palin breaks in to make some kind of major announcement.)

We will also be covering the film world... so looks for our picks and pans of the week. (Up: Go see it!)

That's it for now... more to come!

Cheers!

Ao dai Vietnam

The time goes by, we are counting down till that happy day; so that it just has 28 days left to come to our wedding. Upon to that day I'll be happy to bring some Vietnames cultures to represent at our wedding. One of them I would like to present on this blog is about Vietnamese traditional custom called "Ao Dai."
I search history of Vietnamese trational custom and figure out some intersted about Ao dai Vietnam by the time. The first Ao Dai was born in 1920 had very simple style , and black was the most popular color at that time. By the time, Ao dai had changed a lot such as collors, pants, colors, and styles. Here are some pictures I think you might excite to take a look.

Tam or Jessie? The name of the game...

Just a note for everyone who has expressed some level of interest... No. I'm not getting married to two different women. With all due respect to Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, this is not a polygamy situation (though I do have Big Love for my fiance).

Much like my dad (Constantin, Costas, Costa, Gus, CT, Mr. Soccer), Tam has acquired an American name, "Jessie"... which she is completely comfortable with. (so am I)...

...so... feel free to call her either one.

...ain't she cute?

(Marriage) License and Registration

What I know about shopping could fit into a thimble. Well... a thimble that's half-filled with Stumptown coffee grinds. My idea of registering involved Amoeba Records, the Apple store and San Francisco Giants season tickets...

So, wisely... Jessie took the ball on this one and ran... straight to Bed, Bath & Beyond . You can click the link and it'll take you straight to her selections (I helped out with the waffle iron!)... ...and while you're over there, tell them to get a better used CD section!

The Rafael

Owned and operated by the California Film Institute, the non-profit organization that also produces the Mill Valley Film Festival, this beautifully restored Art Deco theater with three screens and state-of-the-art presentation is located in the heart of downtown San Rafael.

Just to give you some idea of where The Rafael is, you can refer to the Google map (above) or check out my handy map series (below).

Directions (for our Alien Overlords):

From the Moon, fly approximately 240,000 miles (to Earth)... get on the 101 (going North), take the Central San Rafael exit and make a left on 4th Street. (It'll be on your right.)
